In a time not too distant from our own, the apocalypse has come, the planet that houses human life is threatened. For reasons unknown, the world planes have opened and all that dwell in the realm above have descended. Demons and Angels now roam our world, unable to return to their own. The Demons crave the powers stored in the human world and it is the Angels duty to protect it, but as powerful as they are the Angels have fallen. Their numbers thin and they are now forced to live underground disguised as humans, seeking shelter with what's left of the resistance. They keep their presence hidden but are still dedicated to the aid of humanity. While the terror of the Demons is known throughout the world, one Angel remains unaware of all events. After not following correct procedure during the sudden world jump, Psyan Syori finds herself entering our world a whole nine years after the other Angels. Not only does she have to deal with nearly a decade of chaos upon arrival, but due to the unique circumstances of her transition, she also has her own immediate health to worry about. With the loss of her halo during the jump her body will slowly turn to that she is meant to fight. Along with the help of Jason Marx, a human unfortunate enough to have formed a contract with her, Psyan must now fight through hell on earth to retrieve her halo and stop the transformation into the enemy. However the duo soon see that it's not quite as simple as hunting it down and find themselves involved in something much bigger.
