I believe we are in a religious war, being fought culturally. Words
are the bullets and friendly fire is killing us all. We’re not
fighting with Christians or Jews or with any of the religions most
people have heard about. The religion we face is statism. It’s a
faith based belief that the state is a force for good in this world.
While children are abused by parents who force them to attend church
and accept a faith they are too young to understand, the State is the
ultimate abuser of children by forcing them to attend federally
mandated public schools (a sort of church for the state) 5 times a
week for twelve straight years, where they are indoctrinated to
believe the state is benevolent, infallible, and necessary. Books like
Animal Farm, Brave New World, and 1984 were allegories for their time
and the real world they captured and fictionalized inside has only
grown more evil, more controlling, and more difficult to see. There is
a fearful culture, a disappointingly large portion of the public, that
sees truth as an enemy; an enemy to comfort, an enemy to faith, and an
enemy to routine. We need to ally ourselves with the truth and this is
my attempt at doing so. I believe that getting our voices out there is
critical. We can’t be afraid to say what we’re feeling and we
should say what we want in a way that shows love. What is love without
liberty and vice and versa?
