Good, Bad, and Ugly Books

Hi! I’m Rebecca, a teenager who loves reading and reviewing books! I have had this blog for over three years, and it’s been an amazing journey. GBU Books has grown from a Tumblr blog to a Facebook page to an actual website with over 4,750 followers. Besides reviewing, I have a couple of weekly segments, which you can read about in the tabs above. I do accept books in exchange for an honest review, but please check my review policy first. This is such a good, clever, fast-paced, suspenseful, and humorous novel. Perfect for middle grade readers, and I thoroughly enjoyed it as well! Hyperbole and a Half: Unfortunate Situations, Flawed Coping Mechanisms, Mayhem, and Other Things That Happened by Allie Brosh A very entertaining, cute, and poignant story that I could breeze through. Some truthful and funny moments in here as well! My True Love Gave to Me: Twelve Holiday Stories by Stephanie Perkins This will definitely not be a full review, but I just finished this and thought I’d give my thoughts on each story :) Midnights by Rainbow Rowell: 5/5 I love Rainbow’s writing style, I always have. I loved how in just 22 pages I was so… Inherit the Wind by Jerome Lawrence It’s truly an amazing play. It’s so profound I almost fell out of my chair. I was able to read it in only one day, I practically had to, and even though it was so short I was still nervous, excited, amazed, disheartened, and overall emot… All the Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy This is probably the worst book I have ever had to read for school, and maybe one of the worst books I have ever read.
