The Broke Photographer

I’m know as Uri, born in Costa Rica and living in Oregon since 2011. In the ideal world I would shoot all day with a Nikon D800, would carry a bag full of prime lenses and some beautiful constant aperture zooms. But in real life have to pay lots of bills, work all day, if I’m lucky shoot once a week, and I spend every cent on my little baby girl. My Gear Nikon D5200, kit lenses. Samsung NX20 Mirrorles, kit lens. LG G2 phone (the best camera is the one you have with you at all times) Software I can’t afford any, so I’m stuck and limited by the free or open source apps that I can find online. Gimp Raw Therapee Experience Had a class of photography in college and fell in love with it, for different reasons stop taking pictures and just started this year again. My beautiful wife gave me my first DSLR for my birthday on June 2013. My experience with digital photograpy is limited so I’m trying to learn as quick as possible, and that is what this blog is about. How an unexperience photographer with no money travel to the world of photography. No especific style, lots of inspirations and ideas, lots of experimentation and learning mostly from photographers in You Tube.
