what did i know of love's austere & lonely offices

i’m dee, and sometimes when i hear the birds chirping in the morning, i try to identify them. but i can’t, because i’ve never been that type of person, even though i wish i was. i’m an introspective misanthrope first, a feminist second, a writer third, and a manic cigarette enthusiast fourth. my side hobbies are playing guitar and hula-hooping, you know, to make up for the bird thing i feel bad about not knowing.
