This blog was created in part as a project for my black feminist
theory class. The mission of the blog is to create a space that allows
for the discussion of intersectionality of issues of race, gender and
sexuality. Specifically, I wish to examine the voice of the black
woman in the public sphere ( or lack of there of). The question that I
wish to investigate is what happens when black women speak out. In
order to answer this question I will be deconstructing the social
constructs that mediate the black female voice in the public sphere.
