Pokemon Classic

Hello. People call me Pocket. Please read this whole thing before deciding to follow. And it wouldn’t kill you to check out the FAQ either. This is an appreciation blog for the older parts of the pokemon series. Not just the games, manga and anime, but the whole era when pokemon was new, and you would see it in newspapers, cereal boxes, fast food commercials, movie theaters, and so on. Pokemon is still a popular series today, but it can’t compare to the initial boom when the series was launched. This blog is not a genwunner sanctuary, the mod has had a great time in every generation and I love most pokemon. If anything I would like this to be proof that one can appreciate oldschool pokemon without throwing the new pokemon under the bus. That being said, as a generation 1 and 2 fan, there are some things I do like better about the older games. If ever I talk about those things, I implore you not to take them the wrong way, as I believe the games are mostly improving. From time to time I’ll choose to feature a pokemon of the day, and spend the day posting as much content as I can. Some of the information may be from both old school pokemon games, as well as the latest generation at the time. That means on Wednesdays, I'l be reblogging A LOT of posts about the same pokemon. If that kind of spam bugs you, please don’t follow, or just blacklist #pokemon of the day. I draw too! I’m not very good, but I’d still appreciate it if you browse #My Art tag. If you want to talk about something unrelated to pokemon, check out my Personal Blog If pokemon isn’t the only thing you got nostalgia for and you also dig the old school top down Legend of Zelda games, check out my Zelda Blog, which is dedicated all the games in the “Downfall Timeline” Starting at Ocarina of Time. I also run a Sonic the Hedgehog blog caled Egg Pocket Zone, no niche here, it covers the whole franchise.
