(January 17, 1899 – January 25, 1947) was an United States gangster
who led a Prohibition-era crime syndicate. The Chicago Outfit, which
subsequently also became known as the "Capones." In the 1920s to 1931
Capone's syndicate dominated the smuggling and bootlegging of liquor
in Chicago.
