For a few years now, I have been playing at watercolors with pen and
ink. It is true dabbling as I have no training nor experience; I
simply enjoy the process. I like the subtleties of water colors
themselves, and while the unforgiving temporal nature of the process
can be offset by the definitiveness of ink lines, it's the finished
product that counts. This is a representative collection of some of
the pieces that turned out well -- at least well enough. They've been
done at different times, from photos, usually at home some time after
the traveling. I love the reminiscing and occasionally I'll discover
something I didn't even see at the instant of the photo. Traveling has
been important in my life, and I'm glad for this way of preserving and
personalizing some of the joy.
