Welcome to COINAtlantic the new Website of the Atlantic Coastal Zone
Information Steering Committee (ACZISC) The ACZISC was established in
1992 to foster cooperation in Atlantic Canada with regard to
integrated coastal and ocean management (ICOM), coastal mapping and
geomatics. It is a multi-sector forum with representation from
government, industry, academia and non-governmental organizations.
Learn more about the ACZISC in the About Us section. The ACZISC is
working to provide open access to data, information and applications
relevant to Atlantic Canada through the Coastal and Ocean Information
Network (COINAtlantic). Visit the About COINAtlantic page and
Geospatial Search Utility to learn more. The ACZISC meets three times
a year rotating the meetings between the provincial capitals of the
Atlantic Provinces. For information about past and future meetings,
visit the meetings page. Future meetings are listed in our calendar.
The ACZISC also produces the report Coastal Activities in Atlantic
Canada three times a year, and the monthly ACZISC Coastal Update
e-newsletter.
