Vol. 2 - Harry St Clare Wheeler's WW1 photo album from US Naval Air service in France

Keith's father, Harry St. Clare Wheeler, enlisted in the US Navy on 27 Jul 1917 at San Francisco. Later that year he was sent to France attached to the relatively new branch of the Navy involved with flight, both seaplanes & lighter-than-air craft (e.g., observation balloons). While specific details of this WWI assignment are currently lacking, he probably served most of his time at the Brest Naval Air Station. This is Volume 2 of photos taken from his old Navy photo album. Most photos were not identified, and those that were were done cryptically. It is believed that these old photos were from the time period circa Nov. 1917 to Apr. 1919.
