The same thing could be said about comics and Comixology. Amazon has far more comics in the Kindle store than magazines, like tens of thousands more, and they still bought Comixology.

I use Zinio but one thing I've never liked is their performance on older tablets. I also agree Amazon already has magazines -- not really sure how they would benefit by acquiring Zinio?
