About us

Book Zurman, Inc. (BZI) is a Center for Veteran Enterprises (CVE) certified, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) established in 1996, providing program, project and IT architecture management services specializing in Healthcare Information Technology (HIT), Health Informatics (to include medical terminology and HIT standards). Recent contracts at VA involve PMO support, clinical terminology, modeling, clinical business analysis, requirements management, enterprise architecture, inter-agency collaboration, revenue cycle and finance support, and Standards Development Organization (SDO) liaison efforts. BZI personnel played a key role in the establishment of both the VHA Health Information Model (VHIM) and Federal Health Information Model (FHIM) projects, and are actively engaged in various interagency initiatives including the Federal Health Architecture (FHA), and the ONC Standards and Interoperability Framework. A strict adherence to lean Six Sigma processes and Project Management Institute (PMI) and Agile HIT Standards Development has ensured the high quality success rate the firm enjoys today. Its staff includes Six Sigma, PMP and Agile certified personnel who have worked programs and projects for Fortune 500 customers, DoD and the VA. Our past experiences have focused on managing complex program lifecycles that include developing, deploying, and maintaining large-scale enterprise wide healthcare IT systems
