This is my about me section and a little info about myself Humm? Good question indeed. Hi I am H. Dirk Macgrieve, I am the eldest of two siblings, and I was born in Charleston, South Carolina, a U.S. Navy Brat, in those first years of my life, my family traveled to wherever my father was stationed for the most part. I grew up in a very moral upbringing with my parents, and my younger sister. My father was a minister and still is to this day, he always taught me that you make life what it is; you are given the tools in which to build a better future for you and those around you. It is my deepest honor to still have both my parents to this day as they are still happily married. As fate would have it in the early part spring of 2006, I was in an automobile accident. Which this event in my life had become a profound life changing experience for me. I was now placed at a cross roads in my life, with no certainty of which direction I should take in the days to come. With my so be it inner compass spinning out of control, and not knowing what I would be doing next in my life. One of my dearest friends, suggested to me that it was a good time to open a journal, and start writing my feelings and thoughts down on those pages. This actually became a healing process for me, and started me down the path to becoming a now published author. Through my friend’s most wonderful counseling, and guidance, so it began with small unimportant small pieces of random writings. It wasn’t soon long after that start, people begin to notice my style of writings and begin to follow me in those first days on my *Ha… Ha… Ha…* “Journey to Freedom.” When an author to whom I have not spoken to since, ask me if I was published, and if they could get some of my works. No lie I about fell from my seat laughing my butt off at the thought, that I of all people was a published author. Well how wrong could I have been, so in the year of 2010, I met someone of equal like mind, Brianna Hughes… Which she became my mentor and guide, into this vast literary world as an up incoming author. Well in 2012 that dream became my reality when with the help of Brianna I was first published with my first book “The Journey to Freedom,” Now I hold her with the dearest, and fullest blame, for unlocking the doors within my mind and releasing of those voices in my head.
