Matt Bell is the author most recently of the novel SCRAPPER, which
will be published in September 2015 by Soho Press. His last novel, IN
THE HOUSE UPON THE DIRT BETWEEN THE LAKE AND THE WOODS, was a finalist
for the Young Lions Fiction Award, a Michigan Notable Book, and an
Indies Choice Adult Debut Book of the Year Honor Recipient, as well as
the winner of the Paula Anderson Book Award. He is also the author of
two previous books of fiction, HOW THEY WERE FOUND and CATACLYSM BABY,
and a non-fiction book about the classic video game BALDUR’S GATE
II, published in 2015 by Boss Fight Books. His writing has appeared in
Best American Mystery Stories, Tin House, The New York Times,
Conjunctions, Gulf Coast, The American Reader, and many other
