romance series below. Our Harlequin series romance books (sometimes
called category romance) offer the benefits of global distribution and
a recognizable and respected brand that our readers understand and
love.
All of our series romance titles feature a STRONG CENTRAL ROMANCE. A
sustained conflict between the hero and heroine leading to a Happily

Our digital-first, adult fiction imprint, Carina Press, accepts
submissions in a range of genres, including romance, science fiction,

We accept .doc, .docx and .rtf formats, and request that you name your
files with the following convention: Line Name_Title_Author First and
Last Name. For example: Harlequin Desire_The Tycoon_Jane Smith. All
submissions must include: a cover letter with your legal name and
pseudonym (if applicable), manuscript title and word length, a brief
biographical statement including any previous writing credits, and a
short description of the book (your pitch or teaser) a 2-7 page
(requirements vary by series) synopsis that describes your book in
detail, including plot outline, character development and
story/conflict resolution Either the first three chapters or the full
manuscript of your book (requirements vary by series; please check
individual guidelines when you click “submit”)
You must be registered with Submittable to submit your manuscript. You
will be prompted to create an account when you begin the submission
process. PLEASE SUBMIT TO ONLY ONE CATEGORY AT A TIME, WITH ONLY ONE
SUBMISSION AT A TIME.We accept submissions in English only.
Please allow approximately 12 weeks for a response to your
submission. Submission times may vary depending on the current volume
of submissions. If a response has not been received after 12-14
weeks, you can follow up by adding a note to your submission, or by
emailing submissions@harlequin.com, including your name, manuscript
title and the Harlequin series name in the subject line of your email.
