Hello, my name is Simon Petrikov. I’m writing this so that you all
might know my story. Let this also be a record to myself so I don’t
forget… I fear that Marceline and I may be the only two survivors of
what I can only describe as the apocalypse. So far, our search for
other life amidst these ruins has proven fruitless. I wonder if any of
you asking these questions are even real, or simply the result of my
deteriorating sanity… Whichever it may be, I’ll answer whatever
questions you might have with the hope that it will somehow remind me
